sweater, because conferences are always FREEZING!

Great tips, some of those would have been helpful for me before I
attended my first conference. One tip I have though is not to bother
with a hair dryer unless you're very particular about using your own -
most hotel rooms have hair dryers, and while not fantastic they do the
job. Just make sure you've got your flat iron for finishing touches :)

I have one to add - put a small power strip in your laptop
bag - having multiple power sources in a packed session is a great way
to meet people and make friends.
